The Aenor Eruption

The Cosmic Big Bang

Aenor erupts — the cosmic substrate of the Aethryx Expanse is forged. The eruption births 1,000+ original Dracolords: the first macro-lifeforms of the cosmos, born of stellar plasma, astralite matter, dimensional gravity, cosmic consciousness, and primordial celestial law. Larger than moons. Able to cross galaxies. The conditions for everything that follows are set in this single event.

First 1 Billion Years

The Great Dying

Of 1,000 Dracolords, only six survive

Across the first billion years, nearly all the original Dracolords fall. Some collapse into stars and become suns. Some evolve beyond dimensions, passing out of the Expanse entirely. Some self-consume in substrate-burnout. Some go dormant in cosmic-time hibernation. Some destroy one another in the pre-Accord internecine wars. Only six remain. They are one family.

~14 Billion Years Ago

The Six Cosmic Guardians

One family · all dragonkind in the Expanse descends from them

Alphaea — one of the original 1,000+ and one of the six survivors — mated once with Anciuxor (the Father, not a Dracolord). Their one direct child was Azyrath. Azyrath then mothered the other four through the Great Dying, sheltering them until each could take a quadrant-zone of the Expanse.

The Eternal Accord

Six chose balance over domination

The six survivors form the Eternal Accord. The Accord founds dimensional stability · astralite equilibrium · cosmic law · planetary sustainability · the Cosmic Mirror Principle itself. Through the Accord, the six evolve from dragons into Cosmic Guardians — each retaining both a dragon form and a humanoid form. All dragonkind across the Expanse descends from this founding family. This is why dragons are universally held sacred: emblems of divinity, cosmic law, and transcendence.

Origon

Direct Highest One presence · FATHER GEM CORE at planetary heart
v9.8 retcon · Tier VI+ Cosmic Beings only

First raceTIER VI+ COSMIC BEINGS ONLY — Origon produces the strongest baseline beings on average across the Expanse. The Father Gem core's ambient cosmic-substrate density is so extreme that no being below Tier VI Pseudoimmortal can natively form or survive here. No humanoids (per v9.8 §2 Humanoid Distribution Principle).

Cosmic eventThe first planet to crystallise from the Aenor substrate. The Highest One's unmediated presence anchors here. The Father Gem core is the highest-density cosmic-substrate jewel — the source from which all 10 Mother Gems descend.

NotableUltharis (the Highest One · indirect presence) · Voltyran (#337 · Tier VI Pseudoimmortal · "a living storm has no patience" · Origon-native) · Voltigrax (#336 · Tier VI Pseudoimmortal · Thunderclaw register · likely Origon-native).

The shadow returnsA purple gem from Origon — a Father-Gem fragment that long ago fell to Draevos — corrupted Elzoran into Omegoran. When Omegoran was purged, the shadow essence that drove the corruption escaped and made for Origon, the only world dense enough to hold it whole. On Origon's high-density substrate the shadow coalesces into a new cosmic-being: Eurakeon. He has come home in the gem's sense — back to the source the fragment was cut from.

Voltyran's DefenseVOLTYRAN vs EURAKEON ★ — Voltyran, Origon-native, rises to defend its homeland. The 2-tier asymmetry (Voltyran VI · Eurakeon VIII) is partially closed by Voltyran's home-field cosmic-substrate advantage — the Father Gem core amplifies natives' effective combat-tier into the VII—VIII range on Origon's surface. Outcome: Voltyran EXPELS Eurakeon from Origon. Eurakeon does not die — he is cast off-world, denied the source-substrate. He drifts onward and eventually settles on Zyraxis, where the cosmic-substrate density is close enough to the original Father-Gem register for him to take a permanent seat — as a Gemlord.

ConnectionOrigon's Father-Gem substrate radiance permits Lumeria's pure-light Astrums to form 0.5 Byr later.

First raceDRACOLORDS / DRAGONLORDS + MANDRAKES

Cosmic eventTHE FIRST WAR · Dracolords vs Astrums — a pre-Eternal Accord cosmic-time conflict between the original Dracolord population and the Lumerian Astrum civilization. One of the wars that contributed to the Great Dying.

The Omegoran corruption★ Deep in a crash site on Draevos, Elzoran uncovers a purple gem — a fragment that fell to Draevos from Origon itself (a piece of the Father-Gem substrate cast off in the early cosmic aftermath). The gem's density corrupts Elzoran into Omegoran. Omegoran is later purged; the purification reverts him back to Elzoran, and the shadow essence escapes — drawn back toward Origon, the only place dense enough to make it whole again. The shadow that leaves Draevos becomes Eurakeon on Origon's surface.

NotablePrimordial Dragonlord progenitors · the founding Mandrake line · Elzoran (corrupted into Omegoran, then redeemed) · the purged shadow that becomes Eurakeon.

ConnectionMandrake humanoid-root work here will later produce the first humanoid egg, laid on Cytherion (#8). The Omegoran shadow continues its arc on Origon (#1) and ultimately settles on Zyraxis (#9).

The Blood War

The First War of Viridia · Rise of the Order

Pre-War Context

The Era of Fire & Blood precedes the war. Regional corruption builds; Sylvaerys's corruption in the South catalyses the conflict. The fragmented regional structure inherited from Audrelius VIII's Civic Crown era reaches breaking point — Central Veridae rule is challenged across multiple regions. The cosmic-political infrastructure built up across centuries (V Hunting Roads → VI Statutory Codes → VII Religious-Cultural Unity → VIII Civic Crown → IX Royal Roads) is the war-mobilization substrate Audrelius X inherits.

The War

Mortal-tier conflict — the Immortals do not directly fight. Audrelius X Veridae is the first centre-protagonist of the Aur line and was never trained for war. ~13 years of regional combat unfold in a pattern of regional rebellion → Central counter-mobilization via Royal Roads → decisive battles → political consolidation under a new imperial register.

Key Beats

  • Battle of Civic Square — the war's climactic engagement; cements New Viridia's political centre
  • Multi-region campaign sequence — South (Sylvaerys), and counter-mobilizations across North + East
  • Northern alliance secured with help from Aelion Everfrost (Elven King of Auroravale) and Aetheon-influenced Northern magic

Casualties

Multiple regional dynasties dissolved or absorbed into the new political order. Sylvaerys's corruption network broken at war close. Several Old Houses lose minor branches; major lines preserved (Audrelius VIII's Civic Crown precedent honoured).

Post-War World-Changes

NEW VIRIDIA founded — replaces fragmented Old Viridia. ROYAL EMPEROR title — the Civic Crown elevated to imperial register. The ORDER OF THE PEOPLE (OOP) founded by Audrelius X — the first unified Viridian governance institution, the ancestor of OVV. The dynasty steps into centre-stage for the first time after nine generations of background-causal patience. "He was never trained for war. AUR SILENCE BEGINS — the Aur bloodline goes underground after the Emperor + King Amyros deaths. The next ~1,000 years feature the Aur line in hiding (Aurys → Hayden Hart name-rewrite per v6.6 Adaptation Meta-Lock). Amyra's cosmic position consolidates: Pseudoimmortal Queen of Infernia via Imperion's cosmic-spouse marriage — she becomes the only mortal in cosmic-time who walks the Immortalands during life. Pre-War Context

The villain-lineage seeded in Bk II (Vitriarch's 100 CE recruitment of Malrec Malviros) has incubated for ~1,900 years. Malrec Malviros (the 100 CE seed) → KHRONIS (long proximity to Infernia's corruption in Khronexus transmutes Malrec across Bks III-V, off-page across ~1,900 years). The Khron- root binds Khronis (being) · Khronexus (crucible) · Khronicore (the dragon). Khronis is the partial embodiment of Odion's hatred of Aionis incarnated in a mortal vessel — the First Schism made flesh and made active. Stolen Eyes arc (Bks VI/VII): Khronis acquires both eyes through cosmic-soul theft.

The War

The Khronicore origin lock (v9.6 patch 39): Onyaxius — the Shadowyng Dragon, the Onyx Moon (#347) — is the most recently hatched dragon in Viridia. Gen I creature, void-scaled shadow dragon hatched within the Dragonsong Dynasty, egg possibly created by Noxurnis (Aetheon of Shadow). Excidior's soul-economy gift corrupts Onyaxius into KHRONICORE (V Apex → VI Pseudoimmortal · tier upgrade via cosmic-corruption mechanic). Excidior delivers the corrupted dragon to Khronis as his mount. The cosmic-villain pair is complete.

Key Beats

  • Khronis astride Khronicore descends to KHRONEXUS in the West
  • KHRONICORE TAKES THE THRONE OF DARKNESS — the cosmic-Vice operational seat is fully claimed
  • VEILFALL (2nd) — second great breach of the Aetherveil; cosmic-reality-weight crosses second threshold; Realm III and Realm IV access becomes possible for ascended mortals
  • Andre Hart unlocks the BOOK OF VIRIDIA — the cosmic-knowledge tome (Lucienis's record) that holds the means to defeat Khronis
  • Andre is recruited by Valstorm (Commander of the modern Angels of Vices / Haven's Gate); Valstorm reveals Andre's Aur lineage in his dying moment
  • Andre transcends into AURAXION — cosmic-mortal hybrid form
  • Final confrontation — AURAXION + the BOOK defeats KHRONICORE; Khronis sealed in the climactic Bk VIII confrontation
